Every service at Lanna Tick follows the same underlying process. You make contact, we look at what you have, we agree on what will be done and at what cost, and we carry out the work with you informed at each stage. Nothing proceeds without your knowledge.
We do not outsource work. The person who assesses your watch is the same person who services it. This matters — familiarity with an individual piece produces better results than a conveyor-belt approach.
Initial enquiry and intake
You contact us by message, phone, or in person. We ask about the piece and what you have noticed. You bring the watch in when convenient.
Written condition assessment
We examine the movement and exterior and produce a written condition report. You receive a copy and confirm what you would like done.
Work begins with agreed scope
We carry out only what was agreed. If we find something additional, we pause and contact you before proceeding.
Post-service check and return
The watch runs in our workshop for a monitoring period. We then contact you to arrange collection and hand over the service documentation.
Antique Pocket Watch Care
Specialist attention for pocket watches, including movement cleaning, mainspring assessment, and gentle case handling. We work slowly with delicate older mechanisms and keep you informed about what can reasonably be restored. A thoughtful service for pieces with family history.

Strap and Buckle Replacement
Fitting of quality leather or fabric straps and matching buckles, sized comfortably to your wrist. We offer a calm selection of options and never push an upgrade you do not want. A simple way to refresh a watch you already love wearing.

A complete, unhurried service covering the movement, exterior, and seals, with a written summary and your sign-off at each step. We focus on keeping the piece authentic and wearable for the long term. Suited to older watches you intend to pass on in good condition.

What applies to every service
Secure workshop storage
All watches are kept in a secured, enclosed workspace during service. We can photograph pieces on intake on request.
Appropriate lubricants only
We use lubricants suited to the age and construction of the movement — not a single product applied to everything.
Post-service running check
Every serviced movement runs in the workshop before it is returned, so we can identify any issues before handover.
Documented throughout
Written notes are produced at intake, assessment, and completion. You receive copies and keep them with the piece.
