- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions, together with any written service summary or quotation we issue to you.
- "Watch" / "Item" — any timepiece or related component you submit to us for servicing.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry through our website or bringing a watch to our workshop, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and Conditions.
You must be 18 years of age or older to engage our services. By doing so, you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
If you are submitting a watch on behalf of another person, you confirm you have the authority to do so.
3. Service Description
We provide the following watch repair services in Chiang Mai, Thailand:
- Antique Pocket Watch Care (from ฿3,900)
- Strap and Buckle Replacement (from ฿4,600)
- Full Heritage Service (from ฿7,700)
We operate Monday to Saturday, 09:00 – 18:00. Services are provided primarily for watches brought to our physical workshop. We reserve the right to decline any service if we determine we cannot perform it to an adequate standard.
4. Enquiries and Quotations
Enquiries submitted through our website do not constitute a contract. A service agreement begins only when we have examined your watch in person, provided a written assessment, and you have confirmed in writing (including by message or email) that you wish to proceed.
All prices quoted are in Thai Baht (฿). Quoted prices are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. If the scope of work changes during a service, we will contact you with a revised estimate before proceeding.
5. Client Responsibilities
When you bring a watch to us, you confirm that:
- You are the legal owner of the watch, or have the owner's permission to submit it for service
- You will provide accurate information about the watch's history and condition where known
- You will respond to our communications in a timely manner
- You will collect the watch within 30 days of notification that it is ready
Watches not collected within 90 days of notification may be subject to storage charges at our discretion.
6. Service Delivery and Timelines
Timelines given at assessment are estimates and not binding commitments. We will inform you promptly if a service is likely to take significantly longer than estimated.
We will not carry out work beyond the agreed scope without your prior approval. If additional issues are found during a service, we will pause, contact you, and await your instruction before proceeding.
7. Payment
Payment is due in full upon collection of your watch. We accept cash (Thai Baht) and bank transfer. Payment terms for specific arrangements may differ and will be agreed in writing.
We do not charge deposits unless the service requires the sourcing of specialist parts, in which case a deposit may be requested and agreed before ordering.
8. Liability and Disclaimers
We take care with every watch and follow established horological practices. However, older and antique timepieces can behave unexpectedly, and we cannot guarantee specific outcomes where a movement is in poor condition or contains aged components.
Our liability is limited to the cost of the service performed. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, latent defects, or complications arising from the condition of the watch at intake.
We carry appropriate care and custody cover for watches held on our premises. In the unlikely event of loss or damage due to our negligence, please contact us directly and we will discuss a fair resolution.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, photography, and design — is the property of Lanna Tick or its licensors. You may not reproduce or republish any content without prior written permission.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from our services will first be addressed informally — please contact us at [email protected] and we will aim to resolve the matter directly.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Mai Province, Thailand.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes take effect from the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
